This is project is quite personal to me in that it involves home city and one of its major shortcomings in recent times. Bengaluru is a city in Southern India famous for its bustling tech industry and infamous for flooding during the monsoons. We designed an intervention aimed at making India’s silicon valley climate resilient by restoring the city’s lost lakes and implementing substantial grey infrastructure to divert and redirect stormwater. This intervention significantly changes the urban planning of the city and aims to clear 100% of the city’s encroachments onto dry lake beds.
