FLEX

FLEX emerged from our team’s curiosity for expandable products and desire to explore footwear design. We did various experiments exploring techniques like smocking, knitting and weaving. Ultimately we focused on double weaving. With this technique we were able to develop a fabric that achieved a good balance between stretch, comfort and support. We also researched the possibilities of using 3D printing to create a comfortable and durable shoe sole.
